Mt. Ashland Ski Patrol has partnered with AirFlare to assist in the locating of missing guests. Mt. Ashland Ski Patrol encourages all outdoor recreationists to download the AirFlare app on their mobile device and familiarize themselves and their companions with AirFlare use.

Mt. Ashland encourages all guests and employees to wear a snowsport specific helmet. Helmets are available for purchase at the Granite Cove Retail Shop and available for rent (see ticket counter for details).

Mt. Ashland prohibits modifications to existing terrain park features and construction of new features.

Mt. Ashland Ski Area has two boundary types: open boundaries and closed boundaries.
Open boundaries are signed only and do not have rope closing the ski area from surrounding terrain. You may cross this boundary at your own discretion and risk. See “Leaving Ski Area Boundary” sign.
Closed boundaries are signed and closed with flagged rope. You may NOT cross this boundary at anytime, except through open backcountry gates. See “Backcountry Gate” signs.
Areas outside the ski area are not patrolled by ski patrol and are considered BACKCOUNTRY. Appropriate equipment and travel practices should be followed.

Mt. Ashland’s infraction policy is designed to prioritize visitor safety, enforce slope regulations, and cultivate a positive experience for all guests. This policy plays a crucial role in managing behavior, minimizing accidents, and preserving the overall integrity of the skiing environment for all guests to enjoy.
- Boundary and/or closure violations
- First Infraction: Suspension of skiing privileges for 7 operational days and mandatory completion of the Know Before You Go online curriculum.
- Second Infraction: Loss of skiing privileges for the remainder of the season.
- Uphill travel violations
- First Infraction: Suspension of skiing privileges for 7 operational days and mandatory completion of the Know Before You Go online curriculum.
- Second Infraction: Loss of skiing privileges for the remainder of the season.
- Reckless skiing and/or violation of Your Responsibility Code
- First Infraction: Suspension of skiing privileges for 3 operational days.
- Second Infraction: Loss of skiing privileges for the remainder of the season.
- Lift use violation
- First Infraction: Suspension of skiing privileges for 7 operational days.
- Second Infraction: Loss of skiing privileges for the remainder of the season.
- Terrain Park violation
- First Infraction: Suspension of skiing privileges for 3 operational days.
- Second Infraction: Loss of skiing privileges for the remainder of the season.

- Parking Lot Etiquette
- Park responsibly close to other vehicles following parking lot attendant directions.
- Overnight Parking
- No overnight parking is permitted in either of Mt. Ashland’s parking lots.
- Animals
- Dear Dog owners, we kindly request you to keep your dogs on a leash while in the parking lot. This is not only good manners but also a safety precaution. An unleashed dog may dart out in front of a car or other mountain vehicles operating in or around a busy parking lot, with tragic consequences. Thank you for your cooperation.
- Please note that pets are not allowed in any facilities or on the slopes at Mt. Ashland Ski Area. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our guests and their pets safe.
- Please remember to pick up after your pet. Animal waste can be hazardous to the health of people and other pets playing in the snow.
- Drones
- Drones are not permitted within the Mt. Ashland Ski Area boundary at any time, including non-operational periods.
- Sledding
- Sledding is not permitted within the Mt. Ashland Ski Area Boundary at any time, including non-operational periods.
